Curiosity Studio is a result of my interest in town and regional planning and my love of art, design and graphic communication. I currently work as both a Town and Regional Planner (specialising in strategic planning) and Graphic Designer, and when the situation permits, both at the same time.

I studied Town and Regional Planning at the Department of Town and Regional Planning at the University of Pretoria, graduating in 2008, after which I stayed on at the Department, first as an Assistant Lecturer and later Researcher and Lecturer. The Department itself does a large amount of consultation work for government and as such I had the opportunity to work on relatively large and high-profile projects as a young planner.

My inherent love of graphics and design naturally translated into me taking responsibility for the graphic components in our projects and I soon realised that, although I enjoyed planning, I missed the artistic creativity that something like graphic design offered. I enrolled into part-time graphic design course at Open Window to enhance my graphic design skills and improve my qualifications in this field and completed the programme with distinction in 2015.

Curiosity Studio was established at the beginning of 2016 after leaving full-time employment at the University of Pretoria and I have since worked as a town planning and graphic design freelance consultant while still functioning as a External Lecturer at the Department.
